It was delivery day today! We were excited to finally bring in the furniture and see this beautiful design come to life. I designed this space with a fusion of modern and contemporary elements, and I created a perfect balance of vibrant warm and cool tones. Today we completely infused the space with rich colors and textures. The gold shag rug, the velvet teal arm chairs, the rust leather sofa, the chrome and glass coffee table, the beautiful long custom draperies, the gorgeous custom decorative pillows and the combination of chrome and gold metal details all came together to make this a stunning design! I am the Principal, Interior Designer at Edith Barrera Interiors, and I've lived and breathed the world of interior design since I was a child. My family owned and operated a drapery, bedding and upholstery business that my dear, talented mother opened in 1979. With a Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts and a degree in Interior Design, I am the founder of Edith Barrera Interiors, LLC. With the spirited collaboration of my fabulous team, I've been creating colorful and personalized interiors since 1999. I love all things related to color and interior design, renovating and remodeling, and I enjoy talking to others about the power of color in enriching the quality of life. When I'm not designing, I love spending time with my wonderful husband and my two beautiful children, who are the light of my life. I have an intense passion for life!! I love people, reading, learning, teaching, traveling, vegetarian food, fine wine and spending time with great friends. I'm so glad you're here today, and I'm thankful for the opportunity to share my colorful world with you!
